Why?

When I drive to work in the morning, I listen to Dr. Stanley who shares his message in Mandarin (6:00am to 7:00am on 1430AM). It is a good way to improve on your Mandarin too!

A few days ago he made a statement to which I have no answer. Please share your insight.

"Men sin again and again and God forgives us. The fallen angels rebelled God once and are condemned forever."

Why?

Do we have time for HIM?

It was very nice of our Sunday School teachers to organize the prayer reading sharing breakfast. I like to make one comment, just an afterthought.

I think we need to allot a time everyday to dedicate in reading the Bible with no interference whatsoever. We should all appreciate that our teachers scramble to find ways and means for our busy schedule to help us accomplish reading the Bible on schedule each day. 5 minutes before dinner, 15 minutes on the bus...etc. How effect would this be? Should we not be more serious if we decide to join our brothers and sisters in this Bible reading program?

It all boils down to: DO WE HAVE TIME FOR HIM?

Revelation

A few days ago, the National Geographic played a one hour show on the Discovery Channel on the Book of Revelation. It was a awesome one hour show which I only caught a small part of it. There were comments from Tyndale Seminaries and other dignitaries.

We all knew that apostle John wrote the Book of "Revelation" while in exile from the Romans authorities on the island of Patmos. However a statement from the show caught my attention and I like to post it here for your comments:

"The Book of Revelation was unlikely written by apostle John for 2 reasons:

1. The writing style differs entirely from the Gospel of John.
2. When "Revelation" was written around A.D. 95, apostle John would have been close to 100 and most like dead.

I remember both Dr. Gary Lau and Peter Wu commented there we should not spend too much time on certain non-worthy issues. Nonetheless, I find this statement quite fascinating, don't you think?

為什麼信徒不是每日都讀聖經 ?

1. 雖然沒有全面的統計數據資料, 但可肯定的是, 每日讀經的信徒是佔少數。 約十年前在英格蘭及威爾斯做過一個調查, 發現只有16%的固定返教會的信徒, 是會每天讀經的。 相信香港和加拿大的信徒情況不會比之理想。
2. 不讀經是因為人的惰性及功利主義思想, 被魔鬼利用了, 令人習慣每天忙於應付日常工作的大大小小事務, 而將非緊急要做的事 -- 讀聖經 --放在較次要的位置。 到有時間可以讀經時, 已身心靈疲乏了, 於是又拖一天, 如此類推。
3. 個人立志重要, 但不足夠的: 如羅馬書7章所說: 18 我也知道在我裡頭，就是我肉體之中，沒有良善。因為，立志為善由得我，只是行出來由不得我。 19 故此，我所願意的善，我反不做；我所不願意的惡，我倒去做。... 24 我真是苦阿！誰能救我脫離這取死的身體呢？25 感謝神，靠著我們的主耶穌基督就能脫離了 。 GL

請參考以下步驟，每日閱讀並默想聖經。在開始時先有片刻安靜，然後以禱文求主使用當日的經文向你說話，之後按讀經表進度翻閱當日經文，仔細閱讀，接著思想經文對你的意義，並聆聽聖靈藉經文給你的信息，結朿時在祈禱中向上帝述說所領受的信息及作出回應。

按讀經表閱讀當天的經文。

默想：
聖經中有甚麼句子或字詞或意思與信仰分享有關？有哪些信息要我我特別留意？有哪些信仰分享行動要在我的生活實踐

與上帝對話，向祂說出自己所領受的內容，按這些內容為未信主的人、個人、家庭、教會、分裂的社會和世界上的受苦者祈禱。

聖经中記載的女權份子

這幾位女子大慨是最早期的女權運動者:-

民 27:6-7

因為她們的父親沒有兒子, 瑪拉、挪阿、曷拉、密迦 和 得撒 向摩西要求分得產業, 耶和華即時曉喻摩西定要將他們父親的產業歸給他們。

在英文譯本, 她們的名字是Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
